Hi, ich bin Vivi – abstrakte Künstlerin aus dem schönen Hintertaunus.

Ich habe vor etwa anderthalb Jahren mit dem Malen begonnen und daraus ist schnell mehr geworden als nur ein Hobby: Malen ist meine Art, Gedanken und Gefühle in Farbe, Struktur und kleine Statements zu übersetzen. In meinen Arbeiten treffen fröhliche Farbfelder auf skizzenhafte Details und handgeschriebene Sätze – als Reminder, mutig zu sein, zu fühlen und dem leisen Impuls nach vorn zu folgen.

KWALD. ist die Abkürzung meines Nachnamens (Krautwald). Ich habe daraus meine Marke gemacht, weil „Vivien Krautwald“ für mich einfach zu lang war – und weil KWALD genau diesen klaren, eigenen Klang hat, den ich auch in meiner Kunst liebe.

Wenn ich nicht im Atelier bin, bin ich Mama von zwei Kindern, habe zwei Hunde und bin am liebsten draußen in der Natur – ich sammle Licht, Jahreszeiten und kleine Momente als Inspiration. Außerdem engagiere ich mich im Tierschutz, besonders im Taubenschutz, weil Tauben oft keine Stimme bekommen – und sie sie so sehr verdienen.

Hi, I’m Vivi — an abstract artist from the beautiful Hintertaunus region in Germany.

I started painting about a year and a half ago, and it quickly became more than just a hobby: painting is my way of translating thoughts and feelings into color, texture, and small statements. My works combine joyful color fields with sketched elements and handwritten phrases — little reminders to be brave, to feel, and to follow that quiet impulse forward.

KWALD. is a shortened version of my last name (Krautwald). I turned it into my artist brand because “Vivien Krautwald” felt too long to me — and because KWALD has the clear, distinctive sound and identity I want my art to carry.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m a mom of two, I live with two dogs, and you’ll most likely find me outside — collecting light, seasons, and small moments in nature as inspiration. I’m also active in animal welfare, with a special focus on pigeon rescue, because pigeons often don’t have a voice — and they deserve one.
